Texas Political Subdivisions Joint Self Insurance Fund writes workers’ compensation and property and casualty insurance for local governments throughout Texas.  We made the decision a few months ago to have a new website developed, since our old site was not particularly useful to our members, staff or agents.

Although we had some ideas of what we wanted, once we contracted with Capital City Computer Consulting, John worked to enhance and expand our vision and produced a website that far exceeds our original expectations.

While creating an interesting “front” of the site for the public and prospective members, John developed multiple restricted user-access levels and business networking tools for practical use and application by our members, agents, staff and board of directors.  Those features include a private messaging service, online electronic chat, and an integrated forum for the exchange of ideas and solutions to common problems, as well as a video library for safety and loss control videos, and online event registration and management.

From a practical business standpoint, the most important new feature is the secured file sharing and electronic filing system that allows our agents to make complicated and voluminous application for coverage online directly through the website.

Social networking among our members and agents is enhanced by the ease with which we can post photo galleries of events such as meetings, conferences, agents’ golf tournaments, or anything else of general interest.

Finally, unlike some other web designers, John designed the site to be maintained by our staff, without the need for regular help or supervision by his firm.  This cost-saving feature is one we appreciate very much.
